24 Hours in a day

My friends think I’m super intense. It’s true. I’m full of energy and working like mad to channel it towards goals. I’ve set some deadlines for 2 projects I’m working on. At the same time, I have taken a position with a start up, and realize if it's meant to be it's up to me... I was going to move this month, but decided to hold off for another six months. I'm working to finish a book I have been working on for far too long. Put all of this together and sometimes things can get a bit overwhelming!

I consider myself to be one of those people who does great work under pressure. But I have my days. In addition to the stuff I mentioned above, I've been working solo without a business partner or a local based business mentor. Without the peer group, I sometimes have to really, really push myself through situations and stay disciplined enough meet my own daily task objectives. Sometimes I slip... Sometimes I just don’t feel like it. Sometimes I just go to the beach and stare at the ocean.

Of course, taking a break is necessary. And ever since I started planning my days by the hour, and planning breaks in my day, I've felt much less stressed and have become more productive.

Each day offers each of us 24 hours to increase the joy and success in our lives. The most reassuring aspect of time management is this: No matter who you are, you only have 24 hours per day. So, no excuses. Other people are "there." Where are you?
